2023 Notable Awards (the “Awards Competition”)

Official Rules (the “Official Rules”)

Notable Life Inc.  (“notablelife.com”) is the presenting sponsor of the Awards Competition.

In these Official Rules, a person who is eligible to submit a candidate for entry into the Awards Competition is called an “Eligible Nominator,” and a person who is eligible to be submitted for consideration for entry into the Awards Competition is called an “Eligible Candidate.” To be an Eligible Candidate, a person must be a ‘young professional,’ legal resident in Canada, between the ages of nineteen (19) and forty-five (45) as of December 31, 2023, and must have a valid email address. To be an Eligible Nominator, a person must have a valid email address.

If you are an Eligible Nominator and wish to submit a candidate for consideration to be entered in the Awards Competition, go to the Awards Competition’s website, www.notableawards.com (the “Website”), and, if you are submitting yourself or someone else, click the “Submit a Candidate” box. Then, complete in full and submit online the nomination form (the “Submission Form”) no later than Sunday, November 26, 2023 (11:59 pm) EST (the “Submission Closing Date”). Note: Notable Life Inc. assumes no responsibility for nominations made by Nominators without consent from the person they nominate.

There are thirty-eight (38) entry categories (each, a “Category” and collectively, “Categories”) in the Awards Competition.  Notable Life may add publicly-voted categories at any time during the nomination process. Special award presentations are created at the discretion of Notable Life. 

Indicate on the Submission Form the Category/Categories for which you nominate the Eligible Nominee. While you may submit more than one Eligible Nominee for entry into the Awards Competition, you may not request that a particular Eligible Nominee be entered in more than three (3) Categories in the Awards Competition.

It is planned that, after the Submission Closing Date, a team (the “Notable Awards Advisory Committee”) appointed at its discretion by notablelife.com will review all Submission Forms received by the Submission Closing Date and will identify as Final Nominees (each, a “Category Final Nominee”) in each of the Awards Competition’s Categories. In determining who will be identified as a Final Nominee, the Notable Awards Advisory Committee will consider the following factors in relation to each Eligible Nominee in a Category: his/her a) apparent dedication to career and professional/personal development, b) apparent involvement in and contribution to charity and/or community and/or peer support, and c) apparent inspiration afforded to co-workers, employers, followers, and community. The Notable Awards Advisory Committee has the discretion to assign whatever weight it chooses to each of the factors just described. The final decision will be determined by the number of votes a nominee receives and the votes received by the Notable Advisory Committee, with appropriate weighting.

The Category Official Nominees will have their profiles posted, by Category, on the Website for public review and voting commencing Monday, November 27, 2023 (12:00 am) EST and ending Sunday, December 3, 2023 (11:59 pm) EST (the “Voting Closing Date”). 

It is planned that, after the Voting Closing Date, the Judging Team, a team (the “Judging Team”) appointed at its discretion by notablelife.com, will consider each of the Category Official Nominees in each of the Categories and will identify one (1) National finalist in each Category, whom the Judging Team, in its discretion, considers to be the best National Finalist (each, a “Potential Winner”) in each Category. The Judging Team will consider the following factors in relation to each Eligible Nominee in a Category: his/her a) apparent dedication to career and professional/personal development, b) apparent involvement in and contribution to charity and/or peer or community support, and c) apparent inspiration afforded to co-workers, employers, followers and community and d) amount of online votes. The Judging Team has the discretion to assign whatever weight it chooses to each of the factors just described. The final decision will be determined by the number of votes a nominee receives and the votes received by the Notable Advisory Committee, with appropriate weighting.

The Category Finalists will have their profiles posted by Category on the Website. Deliberations will take place from December 4th to December 7th, and the final announcements will be made on December 11th.

The National Winners will be announced on Monday, December 11, 2023. 

The National Winners will have their profiles posted by Category on the Website for public viewing on Monday, December 11, 2023. Notable Life Inc. has the right to keep this posted in perpetuity. 

*Note: No Eligible Nominee may be a winner in more than one Category

Any Submission Form which is incomplete, irregular, has been submitted contrary in any way to any provision of these Official Rules or does not conform to or satisfy any condition contained in these Official Rules may be disqualified by notablelife.com. Notablelife.com or any employee or officer of Notable Life Inc. takes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed entries or for typographical or other production errors. Notablelife.com and Notable Life Inc. are not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Awards Competition.

Notablelife.com may, in its sole discretion, choose to use, in whole or in part, any photo or written submission entered into the Awards Competition for any lawful purpose including, without limitation, in and for its own future advertising, editorial and/or promotional activities and/or purposes, without any prior notice, review, approval or compensation; and by submitting any such material into the Awards Competition, the applicable person thereby assigns to notablelife.com all his/her right, title and interest (including, without limitation, any intellectual or other property interest) in and to that material. Notable Life Inc. or any employee or officer of Notable Life Inc. assumes no responsibility for any damages whatsoever.

Defamatory, nude, pornographic, racist, sexist, or any other type of photo or written text or both which Notable Life Inc. considers in its sole discretion to be offensive will not be accepted into the Awards Competition. 

By participating in the Awards Competition, each Eligible Nominator and each Eligible Nominee (collectively, the “Releasors”) hereby releases, holds harmless and agrees to indemnify all members of the Preliminary Judging Team and the Final Judging Team, Officers of Notable Life Inc. and employees of notablelife.com, its affiliates and its directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, dealers, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releases”) from and against any and all claims, losses or demands which any one of more of the Releasors has or may have against any one of more of the Releases in connection with the Awards Competition or any aspect of the Awards Competition including, without limitation, any claim related to the judging in the Awards Competition and the awarding, use or misuse of any prize or award in the Awards Competition and from and against any and all claims which may be made against any one or more of the Releases by any person, firm or corporation by reason of a Releasor receiving, or using or misusing any prize or award or traveling to receive any such prize or award.

All decisions of the Preliminary Judging Team and the Final Judging Team, Notable Life Inc., and notablelife.com in relation to any matter involved in the Awards Competition shall be final and binding, without discussion or dispute, upon all persons, including without limitation, any Eligible Nominator and any Eligible Nominee.

By participating in the Awards Competition, each Eligible Nominee agrees that if he/she is named the Notable Awards Winner of the Year for his/her Category, and if notablelife.com decides, in its sole discretion, to hold any presentation or award ceremony or event, the applicable Eligible Nominee will cooperate fully with notablelife.com in that regard.

If notablelife.com so elects, a Potential Winner may be required to submit to, and by entering the Awards Competition, agrees to fully cooperate with Notable Life Inc. and notablelife.com in conducting a confidential background check to confirm that Potential Winner’s eligibility and compliance with the provisions of these Official Rules and to help ensure that the use of such Potential Winner in advertising or publicity for the Awards Competition or otherwise will not bring notablelife.com into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule or reflect unfavourably on the Awards Competition or notablelife.com, as determined by notablelife.com in its sole discretion.

Notablelife.com is not responsible to any person for any technical difficulties which arise in relation to the Website, the nomination process or the voting process in the course of the Awards Competition, including, without limitation, the incomplete capture or failure to capture any information on or related to or through the Website.

In the course of conducting the Awards Competition, Notable Life Inc. will acquire certain personal information as submitted by Eligible Nominators and Eligible Nominees in connection with the Awards Competition. Subject to the provisions of these Official Rules, notablelife.com will use that personal information only for the purpose of conducting and administering the Awards Competition and email communication if opted in.

Notablelife.com reserves the right in its sole discretion to remove any Eligible Nominee or Eligible Nominator from participating in the Awards Competition at any time and without notice or explanation.

Notablelife.com reserves the right to add award categories at any time throughout the eligibility period.
